Tiffany v. eBay Sep 16 Sep 16, 2020 | 06:30 PM 08:00 PM Cardozo-Online Event Programs and Centers Open to public 06:30 PM - 08:00 PM Tiffany v. eBay Tiffany v. eBay Heralded as one of trademark law’s most significant decisions of the past decade, Tiffany v. eBay made a lasting impact on e-commerce. Ten years later, secondary liability for trademark infringement continues to be a point of tension between trademark owners and e-commerce platforms. This panel invites the key players who represented both sides in the seminal case, as well as amicus brief writers, to revisit the decision and reflect on the development of the secondary liability doctrine over the last ten years. The panel concludes with a discussion of the recently proposed bi-partisan SHOP SAFE act legislation that aims to provide additional protection to trademark owners that Tiffany failed to do.
