Systemic Racism & Evidence Law: Beyond Neutrality Apr 06 Apr 06, 2021 | 06:00 PM 07:00 PM Campus News Open to public 06:00 PM - 07:00 PM Systemic Racism & Evidence Law: Beyond Neutrality Cardozo NLG Present When: Tuesday, April 6, 2021 @ 6PM EST Evidence law -- as a body of rules that govern admissibility -- purports itself to be a system whose precepts are race neutral. But this is far from the case. And perhaps it shouldn't be the case. Perhaps, we don't even need rules at all. Cardozo NLG is proud to present a powerful panel of three lauded evidence scholars whose work challenges probes the issue of how race is inextricable from the facially-neutral propositions that undergird evidence law and how these consequences play out in courtrooms and the carceral system: Professor I. Bennett Capers (Fordham), Professor Andrea Dennis (UGA), and Professor Jasmine Gonzales Rose (BU). The panel will be moderated by Cardozo's own Professor Ngozi Okidegbe. date_range Add to Calendar share Share LinkedinTwitterEmailemailFacebook Register

We anticipate insight and perspective on a variety of topics, including effective means for bringing in business, how social media has changed the way attorneys seek business, how to build relationships with clients, how young attorneys can maximize their personal skill sets, and a few other topics our panelists will cover relating to business development.
