Brooklyn’s Baddest is a documentary in development that explores the consequences of the “war on drugs” and mass criminalization in New York City during the 1990s through present day, telling the stories of nearly 20 young men who were wrongfully convicted after investigations by the same police detective.   On February 26th we will be hosting an exclusive screening of never-before-seen clips from "Brooklyn's Baldest." We'll also be joined by exonerated New Yorkers for a conversation focused on criminal legal reform. 

This lunch will feature Richard Sandler, Executive Vice President of the Milken Family Foundation, who will present his book, Witness to a Prosecution, in which he details his observations on the trial of Michael Milken.

This lunch will feature Kerry Acocella, a Cardozo alumna, to discuss her highly successful career path from being a Heyman Scholar at Cardozo to becoming General Counsel at Datadog, operator of a global SaaS-based data analytics platform.

This lunch will feature Alissa Makower, a Cardozo alumna, to discuss her highly successful career path from practicing in entertainment law to mergers and acquisitions to handling corporate transactions and securities law matters as Vice President, Senior Counsel for Corporate Transactions and Securities at ViacomCBS/CBS Corporation.

This lunch will feature Pamela Grutman, a Cardozo alumna and the owner and founder of the Law Office of Pamela L. Grutman, PLLC, who will share about her life and career as a solo attorney practicing art law, nonprofit law, and trusts & estates. 

This lunch will feature Professor Andrea Guaccero, who will discuss the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act.  Andrea Guaccero is a Professor of Law at the School of Law of the Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Rome, Italy.  He is the author and co-editor of several books and has published many articles in the areas of corporate and financial law.

This lunch will feature Lawrence Rosenbloom, a partner at Ellenoff Grossman & Schole LLP, who will discuss his career path since graduating from Cardozo and his current practice as a securities, corporate, and broker-dealer attorney.
