Robert B. Davidson, Esq., FCIArb and Executive Director JAMS Arbitration Practice is a full-time arbitrator and mediator. He has sat in over 200 domestic and international arbitrations as sole arbitrator and as a member of tripartite panels in both institutional and ad hoc settings.
The arbitral matters over which Davidson presides involve complex commercial and financial business issues, including contract, pharmaceutical licensing, APA and SPA agreement, construction, insurance and reinsurance, oil and gas, securities, tax, real estate, intellectual property, employment and sports disputes. Over the course of his career as a litigation partner at a major international law firm, Davidson acted as counsel for clients in numerous arbitrations involving a variety of disputes, including serving as lead counsel in domestic and international arbitrations, including 11 cases before the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal (more than any other lawyer), cases before domestic panels, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (ICDR), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and ad hoc panels. Davidson has also mediated numerous complex commercial disputes involving securities, intellectual property, M&A transactions, sales of goods, tax, employment, construction, real estate, aircraft leasing, and other business matters.
