Noam Ebner is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution at Cardozo School of Law.
Noam has worked in the field of negotiation and dispute resolution for over twenty-five years, resolving disputes, consulting to organizations, and teaching conflict resolution skills to thousands of people around the world.
Noam has taught at universities in the U.S, Israel, Turkey, and Costa Rica. During his 15-year tenure as a professor in Creighton University’s School of Law and College of Business he designed and chaired Creighton’s online masters degree program in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.
Noam has practiced as an attorney, negotiator, and mediator; trained court-system mediators and professional negotiators; and conducted hundreds of workshops on negotiation and conflict resolution for a broad range of private sector industries, governmental agencies, universities, and non-profits.
Noam has authored and co-authored six books, including The Palgrave Handbook of Cross-Cultural Business Negotiation (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019) and Rethinking Negotiation Teaching (Vol. 3): Assessing our Students (DRI Press, 2012). He has also written over one hundred articles, book chapters, and teaching simulations. His writing focuses on negotiation, trust, Online Dispute Resolution, negotiation and conflict resolution pedagogy; and the future of the negotiation, mediation, and legal fields.
Co-founder of the Pop Culture & Conflict Resolution Project, Noam co-edited the Project’s first two books on Star Wars & Conflict Resolution. He has given talks on this work at dozens of venues including professional organizations, college campuses, and pop-culture conventions.
Working at the crossroads of conflict resolution and technology, Noam is a fellow of the National Center for Technology & Dispute Resolution and is often invited to consult and speak on technology’s role in conflict and its resolution.
Noam received his LL.B and LL.M degrees from Hebrew University’s Faculty of Law. He also received a graduate certificate in social science research methods focusing on conflict resolution from the University of Bradford.
