The New York bar examination is administered twice per year, on the last consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday each February and July. Effective July 2016, the New York bar exam consists of the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE).

July Bar Exam
If you are taking the July bar exam, you will need to meet the following hard deadlines:

BOLE recommends that LL.M.s complete the Foreign Evaluation of Academic Credentials at least 6 months in advance of applying to sit for the bar.

ALL STUDENTS: Fill out the online application for bar exam, available beginning March 1st. J.D. STUDENTS: Complete the Certificate of Attendance form. LL.M. STUDENTS: Complete the LLM Certificate of Attendance form. LL.M. STUDENTS: Review the Eligibility Requirements.

A copy of your completed Certificate of Attendance form will automatically be sent to the Registrar’s Office for review and certification, which will be electronically completed by June 15th.
The Registrar cannot certify your COA until your degree has been awarded. |
