Dear Students,
We hope this email finds you safe and well in the new year! As we look forward to the start of the spring semester, please see the below for important information re: the spring 2021 building protocols.
1. Starting on Tuesday, January 19th, the Cardozo building will be open and accessible to all students who wish to access a study room or the Library. 1L and upper-level students enrolled in a hybrid course will receive a separate email re: participation in in-person classes.
2. In order to receive clearance to access the building for the Spring 2021 semester, all students must:
a. Submit a negative PCR COVID test. Prior to coming to the building for the Spring 2021 semester, the University is mandating that all students (and faculty) must submit a negative COVID PCR test. This applies even if you accessed the building in the fall 2020 term. The PCR test must be taken at least three (3) but not more than five (5) days prior to your return to the building. The rapid test and antibody and antigen tests are not acceptable. Students who have a documented positive Covid test within the past 90 days, and have completed all required isolation, should submit their positive test in place of a negative test. All test results must be provided via email, prior to coming to the Cardozo building, from your yu.edu email address, to CSLcovidtest@yu.edu. The University is offering free PCR Covid testing on the Wilf campus, Cardozo students can sign up here.
b. Sign and comply with the Spring 2021 Cardozo Compact.
3. Once you have received clearance to access the building, all students must:
a. Complete the daily screening tool at yu.edu/covid19 and submit to a temperature check each time you access the building.
b. Comply with all protocols within the CardozoCompact, including keeping your mask on at all times, engaging in social distancing of six feet or more, and complying with all distance markers throughout and outside the Cardozo building.
c. Participate in regular on-site COVID testing at Cardozo, which will commence the week of January 25th. More information and scheduling for on-site testing will be provided within the next week.
4. In order to access a study space, you must reserve a room via the room reservation system here. You can find updated Library hours here.
As always, please contact cardozostudentservices@yu.edu with any questions or concerns.
Wishing you all the best,
Dean Kim
