  • FAQS
    Q

What criteria are used to make an admissions decision?

    A

Cardozo considers a variety of factors when evaluating an application. Some of those factors are prior academic performance, standardized test scores (LSAT, GRE or JD Next), extracurricular activities, volunteer and work experience, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement -- both as a writing sample and as a tool to learn more about you. The Committee will also consider graduate work, professional background, internships, research experience, and geography. You are also encouraged to include an addendum if there are other factors you would like to bring to the attention of the Admissions Committee.

Stop Asian Hate: Time for Facts, Not Fear

    https://cardozo.yu.edu/events/stop-asian-hate-time-facts-not-fear
    Apr 26, 2021

The BALLSA Alumni Group and the Office of Diversity & Inclusion invite you to join a discussion that will address what we need to do to stop this virus called RACISM. Since Donald Trump called COVID-19 the "China virus" and the "Kung Fu" virus, hate crimes against Asian Americans have increased by 150%. More than 3,800 cases have been reported since March of 2020. Asian Americans have historically been silenced or held as "model immigrants." The discrimination they face has often been erased from American history. This must stop. The discussion will focus on the historical facts of Asian American discrimination in light of the current wave of anti-Asian American hate crimes.  Speakers: Katherine J. Hwang '09 The Law Firm of Katherine J. Hwang   Hana Kim Attorney, NYC Commission on Human Rights   Moderator: Bobby Codjoe Director of Diversity & Inclusion,  Cardozo School of Law   Register Here
