- www.aspenpublishing.com - For 20% discount and free shipping.
West Academic Early eBook Access Instructions are also available as a pdf in the "Additional Orientation Items" section of this webpage, below.
If you use the publisher's website to purchase your books and experience delays in shipping, the publisher will be able to provide you with an electronic copy of the book for up to two weeks, and until you receive your textbook in the mail.
Book Swap
Cardozo's Student Bar Association (SBA) is sponsoring a Book Swap. If you have any questions, you may contact the SBA at cardozolawsba@gmail.com.
Student ID Cards
Student ID cards will be required for those entering the building and will be available for pick-up during orientation in the Cardozo lobby near the Security desk.
If you haven't done so already, you must forward a passport-sized photo (with a clear background) along with your name, and student ID number to cslcardpix@yu.edu as soon as possible. In your email, please identify yourself as an incoming Fall 2025 student.
To look up your University credentials, including your student ID number and email address, you may click here.
Other Required Documents
Submit Required Forms
All students need to submit the following 3 documents as soon as possible:
1. Proof of Immunization
Please download and complete the required MMR and Meningitis immunization form.
2. Dean's Certification
We require ALL incoming students to provide a completed Dean’s Certification form from each undergraduate and graduate school attended, full-time, for at least one academic year. The attached form can be completed by any administrator with access to your file. If you are unsure who should complete this form on your behalf, please check with your school’s prelaw advisor or student affairs office. The administrator completing the form does not need to know you personally. Please request that your college/university return the Dean’s Certification directly to us before the start of classes.
3. Final Undergraduate Transcript
We require a copy of your final, official transcript, indicating receipt of your undergraduate degree. If you have submitted your final transcript to LSAC with your application, there is nothing more you need to do.
If you completed your degree after you submitted your application, please request that your undergraduate institution send your official transcript directly to us.
If you are in the process of completing your undergraduate degree, please do not request a transcript until you are certain that your undergraduate degree has been posted to your transcript. Keep in mind that this may not occur until several weeks after your graduation date. Transcripts for all 2025 graduates must be submitted by Wednesday, October 1 and should be emailed to cardozoadmit@yu.edu.
If your undergraduate institution uses a third-party transcript service like Parchment, please be sure to select the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law as the recipient, not Yeshiva University. If that is not an option, please use cardozoadmit@yu.edu as the recipient email address.
Submitting your required documents
Our preferred method to receive documents is via email. Completed Dean’s Certification forms, proof of immunization and e-transcripts may be sent to us at cardozoadmit@yu.edu. Note that not all undergraduate institutions use e-transcripts.
If you or your school cannot email a document to us, we will accept it via regular or Express Mail. Please note, there may be delays for documents received by mail. Please allow ample time for us to obtain and process documents.
All documents submitted via regular mail should include the FULL address as it appears below. It is important to include our office and room number:
