Meet the 2025-26 Kukin Student Leaders
Victor Cohen ‘26 (top left), Co-President, Cardozo Dispute Resolution Society
Victor Cohen is a 2L who graduated from Baruch College with a degree in Corporate Communications. For the past two summers, Victor worked as a Legal Assistant at Mizrahi Kroub LLP, specializing in New York City and State Human Rights Law claims for plaintiffs. As Co-President of the Cardozo Dispute Resolution Society, Victor aims to explore the ways in which dispute resolution impacts various areas of practice. He also believes in the importance of making dispute resolution strategies more accessible to the Cardozo Student Body, as an effective lawyer requires not only substantive legal knowledge but also the ability to navigate and resolve conflict effectively.
Benjamin Gotian ‘26, (top middle) Co-President, Cardozo Dispute Resolution Society
Ben Gotian is a 3L and a student intern in the Cardozo Mediation Clinic. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Muhlenberg College and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago. Over the summer, he clerked for the Hon. Devin P. Cohen in the New York State Supreme Court. At Cardozo, Ben serves as an Articles Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution and is also the President of the Cardozo International Law Society. As Co-President of CDRS, he aims to grow the organization’s presence on campus by collaborating with other student organizations and creating opportunities for all students to engage with dispute resolution programs at Cardozo.
Jilly Horowitz ’26 (top right) Editor-in-Chief, Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution
Jilly is a 3L at Cardozo and earned her B.A. from Yale in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. She previously worked at the ACLU, interned with the New York Supreme Court’s Commercial Division, was a clinic student at the NYS Attorney General’s Health Care Bureau, a legal fellow at Reproductive Freedom for All, a student fellow at the Floersheimer Center, and a research assistant for Professor Rebecca Ingber. As Editor-in-Chief, Jilly looks forward to shepherding innovative scholarship and fostering a strong community of legal scholars alongside Volume 27’s staff and editorial board.
Claire Miller ‘26 (bottom left) Editor-in-Chief, Dispute Resolution Competition Honor Society
Claire is a 3L at Cardozo and a graduate of Gettysburg College, where she studied political science and economics. This summer, Claire worked at Kirkland & Ellis as a corporate general summer associate. Claire is looking forward to stepping into her leadership position within the Cardozo Dispute Resolution Competition Honor Society and to coaching the new staff editors. She is most excited about hosting the fourth Annual CINEMA competition this October.
Dimitra Maria Paleologos, LL.M. ‘25, (bottom middle) LL.M. Fellow, Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution
Demi is an alumna of the DRA LL.M. and an IMI international qualified mediator and Member at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Previously, she obtained a bachelor’s in-law from Sorbonne Université Paris-Descartes and LL.M. in International Arbitration and Business Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam where she was a competitor in the Vis Moot. Demi has interned and worked as a paralegal in international arbitration at Salloum & Partners L.L.C. in the UAE and served as an extern at New York International Arbitration Center (“NYIAC”). In addition to her work as a fellow, Demi serves as a volunteer in the Mediation Office for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Through her work at Cardozo, she strives to strengthen the LL.M. programs and work with Professor Weinstein to support students in the mediation clinic.
Denise Pasi, LL.M. ‘25, (bottom right) LL.M. Fellow, Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution
Denise is an alumna of the DRA LL.M. and is a litigation attorney from Zambia, Africa with a focus in commercial and labor and employment litigation, as well as transactional work in the mining and energy sector. She is a recent recipient of the Distinguished Performance in the LLM Program Award ‘25. During her time at Cardozo Denise was a field clinic extern for the Supreme Court, Appellant Division, 1st Department, Pre Argument Conference Program. Denise is looking forward to working with LL.M. students and helping them to experience and participate in all aspects of the dispute resolution field in New York.
