On November 10, 2024, DRCHS hosted its Third Annual Cardozo Invitational Negotiation on Entertainment, Media & the Arts (CINEMA). This innovative competition simulates intellectual property and entertainment law negotiations, with law students acting as attorneys to navigate complex, real-world legal scenarios. The event drew 38 teams from 22 law schools across the country and was judged by 70 leading entertainment and intellectual property attorneys. The final round of the competition was judged by the Hon. Gregory Sleet (Ret.), (JAMS), Ana Sambold,(ADR Services) Kristin Hopkins (A+E Networks) and Daniel Hakimi ‘15 (Meunier Carlin & Curfman LLC).

In addition to national events, DRCHS hosted its annual Intraschool Negotiation Competition on March 20, 2025. More than 120 Cardozo students participated, with over 50 practicing attorneys serving as judges. Students negotiated two separate scenarios and received individualized feedback from practitioners. The team of Naomi Giavanna Cohen ’27 and Mollie Thomas ’27 earned first place. Jinny Miniung Choi ’27 and Jungeun Yu ’27 placed second, and Aidan Arnold ’27 and Kendrick Darko ’27 placed third. Xavier Dreux ’27 received a Certificate of Achievement for his outstanding performance.
