U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and high court judges from the U.K., Germany and the European Court of Human Rights kicked off a two-day conference on comparative constitutional approaches to civil liberties at Cardozo on March 31.Dean Melanie Leslie welcomed the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL) in opening remarks on a day dedicated to the memory of the late Norman Dorsen, an innovator in the field of comparative constitutions.

As part of an ongoing effort to attract applicants with science and technology backgrounds, Cardozo School of Law announced today that it will begin accepting Graduate Record Exam (GRE) test scores in addition to LSAT scores for applicants to its 2018 May and fall entering classes. The decision will open the door for future lawyers interested in Cardozo’s robust offerings in intellectual property and technology law.

NEW YORK, NY, USA – August 14, 2017 –Today the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) announced that 14 leading law firms and academic institutions joined the EEA’s existing major corporate members to form Legal Industry Working Group.

Dean Melanie Leslie is proud to announce that Maria Saez-Tatman will become the new Dean of Students of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Saez-Tatman, who will join Cardozo in late August, is a proven leader in higher education administration. Her career has focused on student services including career planning and professionalism training.

Dean Melanie Leslie has announced that former Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Vanita Gupta will be the graduation speaker at the Cardozo School of Law 2017 commencement ceremony, which will take place on May 24 at 6 p.m. at David Geffen Hall in New York City's Lincoln Center.
