Professor Jessica Roth appeared on MSNBC's Live with Hallie Jackson on January 24, discussing President Trump's recent statements and actions. Roth, a former federal prosecutor, said there is a "very strong case to be made that [President Trump's actions] constitute illegal witness intimidation under the federal obstruction of justice statute."

April 18, 2016 - Students and faculty joined Linda Hirshman, author of the best-selling book Sisters in Law: How Sandra Day O'Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg Went to the Supreme Court and Changed the World, for a fun and informative conversation about these two monumental justices. Ms. Hirshman was joined by Professors Kate Shaw and Julie Suk. The talk, which was followed by a book signing, was presented by the Floersheimer Center for Constitutional Democracy at Cardozo School of Law.

On September 20-21, 2015, Professor Michel Rosenfeld and his program in Global and Comparative Constitutional Theory, under the sponsorship of the Cardozo's Floersheimer Center for Constitutional Democracy, brought together a formidable international group to address the vexing question of the accommodation of religious beliefs in secular democratic societies, including recent refusals to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples on religious conscience grounds -a topic that is central, controversial, and very much in the news not only in the U.S., but throughout the world.
