An important update regarding the Fall 2020 semester at Cardozo School of Law.
To the Cardozo Community,
As New York City moves through the phases of reopening and the situation continues to evolve, so too must our plans for academics, events, social gatherings, career development opportunities, and everything else at Cardozo. Faculty and administrators are working throughout the summer to build a new and exceptional student experience that ensures safety and adheres to New York State guidelines around COVID-19.
Because of the factors outside our control, I cannot say that we have every detail worked out at this point. I can, however, promise that we will communicate transparently with you every step of the way. Beginning with the attached memo (also linked below), we will update students on the latest developments by email every two weeks; the Cardozo website will be consistently updated as well.
I am inspired by the work that is happening across the law school to transform and rethink everything we do, and I am truly excited for what this year will bring. There are obstacles to overcome, but they bring with them an incredible opportunity to reimagine our offerings and chart a course for the future without sacrificing an ounce of the superior legal education Cardozo has always promised. There will, without a doubt, be growing pains, but we will come out better on the other side—better teachers, better community members, and of course, better lawyers. Thank you for helping us meet this moment.
Be careful, be safe and stay well,
