The Cardozo School of Law lobby was abuzz on Wednesday night as the Office of Career Services welcomed some of the most prestigious law firms to the school for its annual employer forum.

The forum included 53 firms, including Davis Polk, Kirkland & Ellis, and Proskauer Rose.
“We look forward to this marquee event each year," said Dean of Career Services Carey Bertolet Grand. “The country’s largest law firms are here to showcase how highly they value the talented 1L students at Cardozo."
In addition to the 180 1L students in attendance, many Cardozo alumni returned to the school now as representatives of these firms. Cardozo, who recently earned the #32 ranking in the National Law Journal’s Go-To Law Schools for Big Law list, is well-represented at these firms, including Kalyn Heyen ‘22, an associate at WilmerHale who described the importance of the forum.
“When I was a student, I had all types of graduates answer my emails and help me through the process, so it’s rewarding to be back to ensure that current students get that same help,” Heyen said. “I hear feedback from industry peers that Cardozo graduates make really good team members, and people notice that they are good at pitching in and getting work done correctly the first time.”
Cardozo extends special thanks to event sponsors Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Vault, and Flo Recruit for contributing to this impactful night.
