Cardozo Securities Arbitration Clinic students David Fleschner, Kayla Gonik, Grace Huang, Max Kleiner, Zaira Rojas-Navarro, Rita Tewolde, Aryan Vavila, and AJ Wei participated in the event, highlighting the vital work of law school students who provide free legal representation and other resources to harmed investors engaged in disputes with their financial professionals, and identifying areas of concern regarding the Clinic's client population.
All of the students had an opportunity to engage in discussion with the Commissioners and staff, and ask and answer questions of regulators. Zaira Rojas-Navarro presented at the public portion of the meeting, and Rita Tewolde, Grace Huang, and AJ Wei also made individual presentations at the IAC summit.
SEC Ombudsman Stacy A. Puente noted that the Commission's hope is "that this program will increase public awareness of and support for the critical services these law students provide."
