Dr. Amy Gallup Klann focuses her practice on strategic patent portfolio development and management for companies in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries with a particular focus on developing IP strategies and patent portfolios (offensive and defensive) for emerging companies, such as those developing gene editing treatments, cell therapies, as well as in the single cell sequencing space.

Amy has extensive experience in gene editing, AAV and VLP-based technologies, and cell therapy, stem cell technologies, immunotherapy, molecular genetics, biologics, and neuroscience. She counsels clients at all stages of the business life cycle, from emerging companies building foundational IP portfolios to established market leaders safeguarding and leveraging their innovations globally.
