The Fashion Law Society, in partnership with the FAME Center, invites you to Cardozo’s inaugural Fashion Law Day. The event will take place at Cardozo in the Moot Court Room on Friday, October 23rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Event is open to the public but you must register to attend.

Panel 1: Labor, Sustainability & Compliance: The Evolving Regulatory Landscape of Fashion
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Moderated by Douglas Hand, Professor, NYU Law and Cardozo Law; Hand Baldachin Amburgey LLP.
Fashion companies now face a growing web of laws governing how products are made, sourced, marketed, and sold. This panel brings together a longtime fashion-industry counsel, an attorney with fashion-industry experience, and a policy advocate who has worked on legislation from the inside. Together they examine how labor, trade, sustainability, and compliance rules are reshaping the business of fashion, and what brands and their lawyers can do to stay ahead.
Featuring Keehle Amicon (Associate, BakerHostetler), Hilary Jochmans (Founder, PoliticallyInFashion), and Bryan Wolin (Partner, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP).
Panel 2: Influencer & Creator Law
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Moderated by Kalpana Nagampalli, ESCA Law
Creators and influencers now drive a multibillion-dollar industry, often without the legal infrastructure of the brands they work with. This panel brings together attorneys who represent creators, talent, and brands, plus two speakers who are also working creators. They discuss the legal issues shaping the field: brand deal terms, content ownership, likeness and AI rights, and copycats.
Featuring Frank Poe (Poe Law), Sophie Bruskof (JPMorgan), Isabella Carr (model and influencer, Ford Models; @isabellacarrr), Eileen Rhein (DLA Piper; @lighttravelsfaster), and Joyce Chabbott (influencer, @joycechabb).
The event will conclude with a networking luncheon following the panels.
