Michele Moreno is a partner of the law firm Virginia & Ambinder, LLP, a labor and employment law firm that represents workers, unions, and multiemployer benefit plans. Her area of expertise is wage and hour law and discrimination. She is a graduate of Rutgers University (BA) and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (JD), where she graduated with a professional concentration in litigation and was the Notes Editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law. Michele practices in New York and New Jersey state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York, and the Second and Third Circuit U.S. Courts of Appeals. As part of her practice, Michele has the opportunity to work alongside several not-for-profit legal organizations and community based work centers in representing low wage workers in a variety of industries, which has been a very rewarding experience. Michele has been named a Rising Star by New York Metro Super Lawyers every year from 2018 through 2023. From 2018 to 2021, Michele served as the Secretary of the New York City Bar Association’s New Lawyer’s Council Public Service Committee. When she is not practicing law, Michele enjoys living life in New York City and all that it has to offer.
