Louise M. Lingat is a Court Attorney with the NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA)/Unified Court System. She is currently Court Attorney to the Honorable Adetokunbo O. Fasanya in Queens County Family Court.
Prior to being a court attorney, Ms. Lingat previously worked for the child protective agency of New York City, known as Administration for Children’s Service/NYC Children’s Services (ACS) as an agency attorney handling child abuse and neglect cases.
Ms. Lingat obtained her J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Hofstra University and obtained her B.A. in Political Science and Theology from Fordham University.
She is a published author of Keeping the Family Together: Why New York Must Amend Evidence Rules to Protect a Parent’s Right to be a Parent, with the Family Court Review, Vol. 57, Issue 4, July 2019.
Ms. Lingat is actively involved with the Queens County Bar Association (QCBA), Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALA NY) , New York City Bar Association and the National Filipino American Lawyers Association.
