Louise M. Lingat is an Associate Court Attorney with the NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA)/Unified Court System (UCS). She is currently Court Attorney to the Honorable Adetokunbo O. Fasanya, Judge of the Family Court, Queens County. 

Prior to being a court attorney, Ms. Lingat worked for the child protective agency of New York City, Administration for Children’s Service (ACS)/NYC Children’s Services, as an agency attorney where she litigated various child abuse and neglect cases in New York City Family Court.

Ms. Lingat also serves as a Board Director of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALA NY) and an At Large Board Trustee of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA). She is also actively involved with the Queens County Bar Association (QCBA) and the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY).

Ms. Lingat obtained her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Hofstra University and obtained her B.A. in Political Science and Theology from Fordham University, with a concentration in American Catholic Studies.

While in law school, Ms. Lingat was a research assistant at the Hofstra Youth Advocacy Clinic.  Ms. Lingat is a published author of a note entitled Keeping the Family Together: Why New York Must Amend Evidence Rules to Protect a Parent's Right to be a Parent with Family Court Review, An Interdisciplinary Journal (July 2019).
