FAQ's
What is an electronic transcript?
An electronic transcript is a specially secured image file of your transcript that is transmitted by email. In order to keep the document secure, special security and rights management are applied to the file, and it is sent with a secure password. Always check with the receiving institution first to make sure they will accept a secure, PDF transcript and follow up with them to make sure it was received.
Can I forward or print the electronic transcript?
It is important to have the transcript sent directly to the final recipient. As soon as the document is opened, it becomes unofficial. Meaning if you attempt to have the transcript emailed to yourself and then print or forward it, the words "void" will appear in the background.
Can I order a transcript if I have a hold on my account?
If you have a financial hold, you will still be able to order a transcript. If you have any other hold, you will not be able to place your order. Should you have a hold, you will be notified and your order will be held for up to 30 days to allow you to clear your hold.
What do I do if my transcript needs to be sent with additional documentation?
You will have the ability to attach documents to the online transcript order form. You may also include a note in the "special instructions" section to provide any additional information about the forms that need to be sent with your transcript.
How do I pay for the transcript?
Fees are payable my major credit/debit cards as part of the online ordering process. Your card will not be charged until your order is processed.
Can you fax or email a transcript?
Transcripts cannot be faxed or emailed (unless emailed through our secure PDF ordering process).
What if I entered the wrong recipient email or mailing address?
If there is a delivery issue owing to a mistaken or bad address, we will not be able to process a refund, and you should place a new order once the address has been confirmed.
What do I do if I need additional support?
If you require assistance, please contact the Office of the Registrar by emailing cardozoregistrar@yu.edu.

Enrollment Verifications
An Enrollment Verification Certificate is an official document provided by the Registrar verifying dates of attendance and student status (full or part time) by term. It is typically requested for health insurance, visa, employment and credit verification purposes. There is no fee for this service. Students must order enrollment verifications for themselves. We cannot release enrollment verifications to parents or third parties without a signed release from the student.
Note: If you are requesting a verification for a visa, you should make certain that your expected graduation date is included on your record before leaving and returning to the United States.
