By checking this box, I confirm that if accepted into the October 16-17, 2025 NIHI training at Cardozo Law School, I will attend both full days of the training in-person. I understand that I will be ineligible for NIHI mentorship if I do not attend all sessions of the training.  Should I become unable to attend the training, I will notify NIHI immediately via email to NIHI@yu.edu.

By checking this box, I confirm that upon acceptance into a NIHI, I am also agreeing to litigate at least one habeas petition in federal district court referred by NIHI within one calendar year of completing the NIHI training. I understand that I may be able to co-counsel the referred habeas with one co-worker also attending the NIHI training. I further understand that NIHI may allow “self-referrals” drawn from the participant’s existing clients. If approved, such self-referred habeas petitions will satisfy this commitment. I understand that I will be supported in litigating the habeas petition by NIHI faculty and/or associated mentors.
