Serving as a mentor is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to the Cardozo Community. Mentors gain networking opportunities and personal satisfaction, while mentees obtain valuable career advice, feedback, and legal knowledge. Students truly appreciate the timely and valuable perspectives that alumni can offer as practitioners in the field.
The mentor-mentee relationship is designed to foster maximum productivity and commitment to Cardozo by encouraging strong collegial relationships, as well as, supporting and recognizing accomplishments.
(*Official guidelines and timelines will be distributed upon admittance to the program.)
Frequency of Contact:
We hope you and your mentee(s) will have a minimum of two to three (2-3) connections throughout the Spring semester. The efficacy of mentoring is a direct result of the amount of time the mentor/mentee(s) spend together. As a result, we encourage frequent contact with your mentee(s).
In respect to the CDC guidelines, we ask that until further notice, you and your mentee(s) connect virtually over coffee, lunch, happy hour or through other virtual networking opportunities. The Alumni Mentor Program will also offer events and programming throughout the year that you and your mentee(s) can attend together.
"My mentee, Talia, is just fantastic! Someone really paid attention to this pairing, for which I thank you. She and I have much in common, and I can hardly wait for the shutdown to lift so that we can meet in person."
Returning and current mentors are encouraged to submit stories and feedback about their experience in the Mentor Program to email@example.com.
Enjoy snapshots from our Mentor Program's signature networking reception, "Cardozo Connections." For 2021, this event will be held virtually.
