Cardozo welcomed students with the Forum for Jewish Leadership (FJL) on July 23 to hear from Adjunct Professor Michael Wildes ’89 about immigration law.
During this discussion, Wildes, the managing partner at Wildes Weinberg, PC, shared that much of his outlook on law blossomed when he joined his late father, the renowned immigration lawyer and founder of Wildes Weinberg, Leon Wildes.
“I was struck with my father’s immense sense of professionalism,” Wildes said. “I knew that it was not only possible, but necessary, to intertwine the ethics of our community with the morality of all of our efforts.”
He reflected on his professional experiences and closed his remarks by telling the students they can carry their faith and convictions wherever they go.
“They can guide you in a similar vein, as they did for me,” Wildes said. “Make sure you constantly explore new roads.”
The FJL is an organization that brought high achieving Jewish leaders to New York and Washington D.C. for a four-week program to participate in daytime internships and evening and weekend seminar series.
