Alumni have reading privileges in the Library. A valid Alumni ID is required to access the law school. Alumni IDs may be obtained by contacting the Office of Alumni Affairs at cardozoalumni@yu.edu during regular business hours. Additional information for Alumni may be found on the Alumni Opportunities page.
Alumni have access to in-library use of books, the school’s wifi, and to some of the library’s digital resources. Alumni may not check out books, request items via interlibrary loan, or obtain access to Cardozo’s Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg Law accounts. Alumni also have access to LARC, the Lillian & Rebecca Chutick Scholarly Repository and Institutional Archives.
Alumni do not have off-site access to any of commercial databases available at the Cardozo Law School Library. Some digital resources provided by other Yeshiva University libraries are available off-site. For more information, please refer to these instructions from the Yeshiva University Libraries.
The staff of the Library views its patrons as professionals. In turn, patrons are expected to conduct themselves as professionals. This expectation extends to a thorough knowledge of all Library Policies, compliance with said policies, and a general civil deportment towards Library Staff and fellow patrons.
