Patricia (“Trish”) O’Prey has experience in a wide range of civil and criminal/regulatory cases both in-house and in private practice. Trish began her career spending fifteen years in private practice before spending eight years in-house leading various investigations teams. Since 2019, Trish has been in private practice focusing on internal investigations and civil litigation at Schoeman Updike Kaufman & Gerber LLP.

She graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz and from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, cum laude. After graduating from law school, Trish clerked for the Honorable Melvin T. Brunetti on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Trish is currently an active leader in the ABA Section of Litigation on its Council and on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York’s Mediator Advisory Council.
