Jessica (“Jesse”) Fender is an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and serves as the Chair of the Office’s Forensic Science Committee. In that role, she advises federal prosecutors as they identify, obtain and present forensic science evidence relevant to criminal cases, including DNA, latent print, ballistics / tool mark, and chemical / controlled substance evidence. Prior to attending law school, Jessica received B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle. She joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in 2014, and presently focuses on matters involving transnational criminal enterprises and money laundering.
