DegreeTrack FAQs
-
Students can use DegreeTrack to monitor progress in their degree, view which requirements still need to be completed, and plan for future coursework (using the What-If feature).
-
The degree audit is a review of student’s past, current and planned coursework that provides information on completed and outstanding requirements necessary to complete a degree/major/concentration. The audit is divided into blocks such as Degree, Major, and Electives (other coursework). Each block works like a checklist with boxes that are automatically checked when a requirement is met.
-
Transfer credits will appear throughout the body of the audit in line with the requirements the credits fulfill.
-
If you have taken more than 2 credits of fieldwork (field clinics and/or externships), you will see the fieldwork courses appear in the Over the Limit section until your Experiential/Skills requirement is complete. This is done to enforce the rule that students cannot count more than 2 credits of fieldwork towards the 6 credit Experiential/Skills requirement.
If you have completed your skills requirement, and your fieldwork courses still appear in the Over the Limit section, please email the Office of the Registrar at cardozoregistrar@yu.edu.
-
The first semester of a year-long course is graded with a “Y” which does not factor into your degree audit or the credits applied to graduate. At the end of the Spring semester, once you receive a grade, the Fall grade will be changed as well. At that time, you will see the first semester course appear throughout the audit (and the credit applied towards the degree) if the course fulfills a degree requirement.
-
If you see the green check mark to the left of the writing credit requirement, that means the requirement is complete. “AP” is a Banner code meaning “approved”.
-
You should contact an advisor by emailing cardozostudentservices@yu.edu if you have questions about unmet requirements or planned courses.
If you believe courses on your audit are incorrectly allocated, please contact the Office of the Registrar at cardozoregistrar@yu.edu.
