The Center for Real Estate Law & Policy is Cardozo’s focal point for the study of real estate law as well as a center for vital discussion of major issues in the nation’s largest real estate market and beyond. Professor Stewart Sterk, the director of the center, is one of the ten most-cited property professors in the United States and a leading real estate expert.

Professor Stewart Sterk, H. Bert and Ruth Mack Professor of Real Estate Law

Professor Sterk has written widely on property and real estate issues. He is the co-editor of a leading casebook on land use law, and he is the editor of the New York Real Estate Law Reporter. A member of the American Law Institute, he served as an advisor in the preparation of the Restatement (Third) of Property (Servitudes).

Professor Sterk has been awarded “Best Professor” or “Best First-Year Professor” at Cardozo Law 11 times.
