Undergraduate College: Tulane University, B.A. in Political Science with minor in Jewish Studies (Cum Laude).
Program affiliations: Served as Student Bar Association (“SBA”) President. As a student representative and as a leader in the Cardozo Community, I successfully planned events ranging from the annual Cardozo Blood Drive to an extremely fun Barristers Ball. I was also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, a Staff Editor on the Art & Entertainment Law Journal and a Tour Guide at Cardozo.
Honors: I received first place with my partner, Jennifer Edelson, in the Cardozo Intra-School Negotiation Competition. My Note was also selected to be published by the Art & Entertainment Journal. I wrote about student-athletes, particularly NCAA athletes, and their ability to collectively bargain for their name, image and likeness. Yet my greatest honor was probably being selected to represent Cardozo at the International Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris, France.
Jobs during law school: I considered law school my full-time job. However, I participated in the Mediation Clinic and the Divorce Mediation Clinic at Cardozo Law School. I found both of these clinics to be very interesting. Professor Love and Professor Collins, respectively, were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed working with real clients to solve real issues and disputes. The mentorship that was provided to me during my clinical experience was highly valuable.
What about Cardozo have you enjoyed during your time here: One of my favorite highlights was representing Cardozo in the ICC Competition in Paris, France. I was selected with two other students from the ADR Team to travel with Professor Love and compete against students from across the globe. I competed against, and became friends with, students from South Africa, Tunisia, Brazil, Israel, Russia and many other places. It was an incredible networking opportunity, and also an amazing experience. I was able to meet famous negotiators from all around the globe. It was very unique, and certainly memorable.
