Professor Lindsay Nash was asked to testify by the chair of the Immigration Committee of the City Council at a hearing on immigration issues on September 5, 2018. The hearing was on a resolution to support congressional legislation that would dismantle ICE and legislation that would prevent the city from contracting with entities that engage in immigration enforcement.

In addition, Professor Nash participated in a training for lawyers from the NYC Law Department on September 6, 2018, to train them to represent asylum-seeking families who are detained in Dilley, Texas.
