Professor Jocelyn Getgen Kestenbaum, director of Cardozo's Human Rights and Atrocity Prevention Clinic, spoke with U.S. News & World Report about the importance of a good clinical experience in law school for aspiring human rights lawyers.
Professor Christopher Buccafusco was quoted in an article in Footwear News, focusing on Kering, the parent company of Gucci, who recently dropped its long-standing legal battle against Alibaba Group and came to an agreement with them instead, joining forces to try and eliminate counterfeit goods.
“Here’s an opportunity for Alibaba to avoid the same sorts of risks by taking things out of the courts and moving them into boardroom-to-boardroom negotiation,” he said. “These sorts of things have been increasingly attempted in the context of motion pictures and music and other sorts of videos, where you see relationships between the content producers and the Internet service providers as a way of working together to short-circuit the risks of large-scale legal action.”
