Cardozo law congratulates the Innocence Project on the exoneration of Muhammad Aziz and Khalil Islam, whose convictions for the killing of Malcolm X were overturned after decades of imprisonment.
The Innocence Project was founded by Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld at Cardozo School of Law in 1992. We are proud that Cardozo students have the opportunity to work with the dedicated lawyers of the Innocence Project in their unwavering fight for justice on behalf of those who have been wrongfully convicted.
