August 16, 2018 - Excitement, nervous energy and a sense of opportunity were in the air as the members of Cardozo’s Class of 2021 arrived for their first day of orientation. Students mingled over a breakfast spread before gathering in the Jacob Burns Moot Court Room, where Dean of Admissions David Martinidez and Dean Melanie Leslie officially welcomed Cardozo’s newest class to the school.

According to The National Law Journal’s top 50 law school rankings released March 6, 7.72% of Cardozo’s 2016 graduates went on to work at top law firms. Cardozo Law is number 46 on the list, which is based on the percentage of each school's 2016 graduates who took associate jobs at the largest 100 firms.

Dean Melanie Leslie On Cardozo's Four Pillars of Education

Dean Melanie Leslie spoke with Cardozo's incoming class of 2019 at orientation on Thursday, August 18, 2016. The students, who are part of the school's 40th class, learned about Cardozo's history of ambition, innovation, leadership and activism. "It's our 40th year, so I want to talk about the things that have made the law school great," said Dean Leslie. "The four values that characterize us and explain why we're different than other law schools."
