Cardozo Law Hosts Global Leadership in Law & Business Program

Cardozo’s Global Leadership in Law & Business for Non-U.S. Lawyers, sponsored by the department of Graduate & International Programs, started its ten-day conference July 10. The agenda for the program, now in its second year, seeks to give international lawyers a comprehensive overview of the U.S. legal system, covering topics such as corporate law, transactional law, ethics, data law, privacy and intellectual property, among others.

LL.M. Team Wins Top Honors at Moot Competition

Cardozo’s LL.M. team took first place out of 20 teams from around the country at the 2017 LL.M. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition in Washington, DC, March 25.

Cardozo Law's LL.M. Program

Cardozo School of Law's LL.M. program draws students from more than 25 different countries. It provides the freedom to design your own schedule, and offers specializations in Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution and Advocacy, and Comparative Legal Thought. The General Studies LL.M. allows students to focus on ADR; corporate, commercial, and securities law; IP law; and international and comparative law. 

Valbona Myteberi Appointed Assistant Dean of LL.M. and International Programs

Valbona Myteberi has been appointed Assistant Dean of LL.M. and International Programs. She was previously Director of the Heyman Center on Corporate Governance and Adjunct Professor for the Intensive Transactional Lawyering Program (ITRANS).

LL.M. Teams Among Top in International Moot Court Competition

Daniel Decacche received first honorable mention for best oralist. In addition, the team of Justin Santagata, Hector Bondoc, Madeleine Bayzelon, and Victoria Syreizol reached the semi-finals and the team of Daniel Decacche, Marko Budrovac, Jackie Leung, and Bianca Piccoli reached the quarter finals. Professor Curtis Pew coached the students.
