THE HISTORY OF THE CARDOZO/BMI MOOT COURT COMPETITION
In 1984, the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law first hosted an Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition. The fourth competition, in 1987, marked the beginning of BMI's (Broadcast Music, Inc., the performing rights organization) involvement and cosponsorship of the competition. Over the years, the competition has grown in both involvement and stature, attracting competitors from law schools across the country.
