Help Cardozo Law students help the underserved.

"My experience at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office was fantastic. In my second week, I was asked to respond to a motion and write a supporting memo. Within my first month, I had responded to two motions, sat in on interviews, conducted a portion of a witness interview, prepared and redacted discovery, and observed criminal court, as well as a few trials. The DA’s office did a great of giving me real responsibility and encouraged me to observe trials when I had free time. I walked away with two writing samples—and learned a great deal. The experience was engaging, rewarding, and interesting."

On March 14, 2018, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law is proud to be hosting its 26th Annual Public Service Auction.

All of the proceeds of this student-led event benefit nonprofit organizations and government entities across the country by placing first- and second-year student interns within their organizations. These internships provide crucial legal assistance to scores of underserved communities while also providing incredible opportunities for Cardozo students to gain practical, meaningful experience.

Each year we depend on support from friends like you to make this program a success for students and the organizations they intern with. Last year, over 100 nonprofits and government agencies, from the Eastern Environmental Law Center to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office to the American Civil Liberties Union to The Children's Law Center, benefited from the 144 student interns that were provided stipends from the impressive $800,000+ that was raised at the Auction.

The Public Service Auction continues to be a wonderful, festive event, with delicious food, spirits and fantastic prizes available in the Silent, Live and Online Auctions.

Please join us by donating goods or services to the Auction, by make a financial contribution to the stipend program and by bidding on-line or attending the festivities at the Auction on March 14th.
