Vol. 4, No. 1: Andryeyeva v. New York Health Care, Inc.

Feb. 7th, 3:30 - 5:00pm

Issue: May low-wage home health care workers bring a class action in New York state court alleging violations of minimum wage requirements?

Appearing for Lilya Andryeyeva, et al.: Jason Rozger, Bernabaum Menken LLP

Cardozo faculty and outside experts will help prepare Jason Rozger for his upcoming argument in the New York State Court of Appeals in Andryeyeva v. New York Health Care, Inc.

Issue: Whether the district court improperly denied class certification to “apprentices” who worked at Chipotle restaurants in six different states?

Appearing for Maximo Scott, et al.:  Rachel Bien, Outten & Golden LLP

Judges: Rachel Geman (Partner, Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP), and Professors Michael Pollack and Alex Reinert

Cardozo faculty and outside experts will help prepare Rachel Bien for her upcoming argument in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Scott v. Chipotle
