Employers know the value of a Cardozo law degree. Cardozo graduates are at work and sought after in every sector of the legal industry; from the largest law firms and financial compliance offices, to in-house legal departments at major fashion houses, to district attorneys’ and defenders’ offices.
Cardozo is ranked 25th in the nation and 3rd place in New York City for "gold-standard" jobs. In fact, over 80% of the class of 2017 are in such jobs, which are full-time, long-term jobs that require a JD degree and bar passage and that are not subsidized by the law school.
Cardozo is #37 in the country for lawyers hired by law firms with over 100 attorneys, based on ABA employment figures. In addition, The National Law Journal repeatedly lists Cardozo on its "go-to law schools" for the 100 largest law firms in the country. Another
#11 in the country by preLaw Magazine for two types of public interest and public service law: public defenders/prosecutors, as well as government work. (Based on the number of graduates with positions at government agencies or in district attorneys' and public defenders' offices, and in consideration of Cardozo’s curricular offerings and loan repayment options).

All accredited law schools submit employment data to the American Bar Association (ABA), which reflects the employment status of law graduates as of March 15th following their graduation (10 months post-graduation). The ABA provides definitions and instructions for how to complete the Placement Questionnaire and a summary report for each law school after it submits its data, eventually posting the reports for all law schools on the ABA website. The ABA has posted the Employment Summaries on its website and you can find the summaries for Cardozo as well as all law schools by going to the ABA website.
