Rocio A. Chavez ’11 is an associate at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. Her practice includes securities law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. She handles pro bono matters including counseling not-for-profits in corporate governance and applying for asylum on behalf of persecuted individuals in partnership with Immigration Equality. Ms. Chavez is a co-leader of the firm’s Lawyers of Color and Women’s Forum affinity groups. She is an active member and leader of the Hispanic National Bar Association. Read More


Magda Jimenez Train ’95 is the Americas Head of Civil Litigation at Barclays, an investment bank and financial services company. She works on the Litigation, Investigations and Enforcement Team where she oversees the Americas civil litigation portfolio, including complex civil, securities and class action litigation, and handles and supervises investigations and regulatory proceedings. Prior to joining Barclays, she was a partner at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Community Service Society of New York and is a member of the Second Department Judicial Screening Committee.

Elena Sarver ’16 is a Legal Adviser at the Global Justice Center, where she was previously a Legal Fellow following her graduation from Cardozo. Ms. Sarver's work focuses on advocating for human rights, gender equality, and accountability for mass atrocity crimes. She developed an interest in international law at Cardozo and during her third year she participated in the Human Rights and Atrocity Prevention Clinic.
