A first-generation New York lawyer, Marie Licelle Razalo Cobrador received her LL.M. from Cardozo and is now the Founding Attorney of Cobrador & Associates, PLLC. She handles immigration, business transactions, real estate, litigation, intellectual property and entertainment law.

As part of her cross-border practice, Licelle counsels and represents clients from all 50 states as well as Asia, Latin America and Europe. A leader in immigration law, Licelle advises clients on legal and strategic issues rising from international movement of personnel from high-ranking executives to expert staff. She is currently working on extraordinary ability talents self-petitioning for permanent residence.

Previously, Licelle served as an attorney for detained asylum-seekers in bond hearings and credible fear interviews. She also advocated before immigration court judges around the country and obtained political asylum, asylum based on religion and membership in a particular social group (sexual orientation/LGBT and domestic violence) for over a thousand clients. She has been successful in securing Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for unaccompanied minors. Licelle has prevailed in petitions for review with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Additionally, Licelle is a legal advisor for non-profits in the arts as well as media, events and production companies for business and immigration matters. She serves as the vice president and executive director of the Filipino American Legal Defense and Education Fund, is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York, and the National Pacific American Bar Association. At Cardozo, Licelle is the Co-Chair of Cardozo’s Masters Alumni Committee (M.A.C.).
