Spring / Summer 2015
The Cardozo Data Law Initiative (CDLI) offers data law externships to Cardozo Law JD students enrolled in the CDLI as a real-world supplement to their academic training in data law issues. These externships can be with corporations, consultants, law firms, government, vendors, analysts or non-profits.
Students enrolled in the CDLI program have dedicated themselves to acquiring both legal and technical acumen in the areas of Information Governance, Privacy, E-Discovery, Cybersecurity, Corporate Internal Investigations and other related course offerings. Successful completion of a real-world externship is a requirement for achievement of the Data Law concentration.
Prior CDLI externships have been with employers as diverse as Ernst & Young, Complete Discovery Solutions, Tritura, EDT, Vialumina, 451 Research and Knowledge Strategy Solutions. To learn more about CDLI students and their externships, click here.
Each employer that takes on a CDLI student as an extern agrees to have the student perform meaningful substantive work related to data law under the supervision of an attorney.
