Credit Card Gifts
A credit card gift is not only convenient; it also entitles you to the same income tax deduction as a gift of cash. Gifts can be charged to Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. To make your credit card gift, go to Make an Online Gift or call 212.790.0289.
Many employers offer a Matching Gift Program to their employees and their spouses. If you work for a matching gift company, you may double or triple your gift to Cardozo and you will receive credit for the corporate match as well. For more information, contact your employer’s human resources department or refer to Matching Gift Finder. Be sure to include your company’s matching gift form when sending your contribution to Cardozo.
Using long-term appreciated securities to fund your gift may afford you significant income tax benefits. You may transfer securities electronically or by sending stock certificates via registered mail. For more information, please contact Patricia Weiss, Associate Dean, Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs, at 212.790.0270 or email@example.com.
Making a planned gift may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, benefit from tax advantages or income for life. Planned or deferred gift options include bequests, annuities, and trusts, as well as gifts of real estate, life insurance, and pensions. Charitable gifts reward donors in many ways: in addition to fulfilling your philanthropic goals, you may reduce taxes, increase spendable income, and address other financial and estate planning goals. For more information about planned giving, to notify Cardozo of a planned gift that has already been made, or if you wish to designate Cardozo as a beneficiary in your will, please contact Patricia Weiss, Associate Dean, Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs, at 212.790.0270 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
