She is a member of the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics, and serves as an ethics consultant, frequently lecturing on topics involving the law of lawyering to a wide variety of bar associations and other groups. She teaches professional responsibility courses, organizes ethics programs and is the director of Cardozo’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.

She represents lawyers and law firms in criminal, civil and disciplinary matters and serves as an expert witness on legal ethics issues.

She serves as an ethics consultant and frequently lectures on topics involving the law of lawyering to a wide variety of bar associations and other groups.

Ellen Yaroshefsky is the Executive Director of the Jacob Burns Ethics Center. She is a member of the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics,co chair of the Ethics, Gideon and Professionalism Committee of the American Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section and serves on the New York State Committee on Standards of Attorney Conduct. She  serves as an ethics consultant and expert witness  and frequently lectures on topics involving the law of lawyering to a wide variety of bar associations and other groups. Yaroshefsky teaches professional responsibility courses, organizes ethics programs, directs Cardozo’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program and its Youth Justice Clinic.

Lester Brickman

Professor Brickman teaches Contracts, Professional Responsibility, and Land Use, among other courses. His areas of expertise include legal ethics, contingency fees, mass torts, and asbestos litigation. His writings on these and other subjects are widely cited and he is frequently quoted in the press.
