Howard M. Squadron was born in New York City on September 5, 1926. He received his law degree from Columbia University where he was editor of the Columbia Law Review. He practiced law at Strook, Strook & Levan in New York then spent two years as staff counsel for the American Jewish Congress before going back into private practice and eventually becoming the senior partner of Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld.
Howard Squadron represented many high profile media companies including The News Corporation and News America. He was also incredibly active in the New York community.
