OCS Practice Area Forum
The Office of Career Services invites you to attend the 2013 Practice Area Forum. The Practice Area Forum is a unique program through which current law students are given the opportunity to meet practicing attorneys in an informal setting and learn more about a wide range of practice areas and internship opportunities. The Forum is a large "table talk" event. Attorneys will be seated at tables with signs indicating their practice areas and students will walk around to speak with the attorneys. Participating attorneys will discuss a broad range of topics surrounding legal practice, including the "ins and outs" of their practice areas, how they began their careers; what their work is like on a typical day; the latest developments in their field; the qualifications a student may need for success in their field, and what students can do to gain relevant and marketable experience. First year law students in particular are encouraged to attend the event as they begin to explore legal practice options and think about summer opportunities.
