Intellectual Property Forum Mixer
If you are passionate about protecting the rights and fostering the creative work product of entrepreneurs, artists, and other innovators, then this is the event for you!
Attorneys practicing Intellectual Property Law will speak with students and entrepreneurs in small groups to describe their practice areas, their work and how they can effectively help protect entrepreneurs and other creative forces in our community. Entrepreneurs and small business owners are invited to mingle with the attorneys and current Cardozo students to learn more about the importance of intellectual property and the issues to consider in making their businesses grow successfully. The evening will start with a panel discussion on “What Entrepreneurs Need to Know about Intellectual Property,” focused on how attorneys protect creative works and other IP for start-ups in several different industries. A table talk networking hour will follow the panel discussion.
Additional participants for the table talks are still welcome to share their knowledge and experiences during the table talk portion of the evening. You will talk talk to up to three people at a time as they circulate through this mixer from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. You are welcome to attend the preceding panel discussion or to arrive at about 6:50pm to participate in the table talks. If you would like to participate or need additional information, please email Julie Anna Alvarez at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, March 3 at Noon.
This year’s event is Co-sponsored by the Cardozo Office of Career Services, the Alumni IP Committee, the Copyright Society of the USA, AIPLA Law Students Committee, the Cardozo StartUp Society, the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, and the Cardozo Intellectual Property Law Society.
