Mark Goldfarb, Assistant Director, earned his B.A. in Economics from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. Mark was admitted to practice law in D.C. and the states of Maryland, Illinois, and Iowa. While in law school, Mark served on the Corporate & Business Law Society and Lavender Law organizations. During his law school summers, Mark counseled and represented tenants through the D.C. Law Students in Court Program, and served as a law clerk for the George Washington University’s General Counsel’s Office.
Following law school, Mark was an associate in the financial services group at Dechert LLP in Washington, D.C. His practice focused on securities regulation and corporate governance matters for mutual funds and insurance company separate accounts. Mark also enjoyed his pro bono practice where he litigated wrongful eviction cases.
Prior to joining Cardozo, Mark was a career advisor at The University of Iowa College of Law. He counseled students and alumni on career exploration and job search strategies, including students interested in judicial clerkships and alternative careers.
